The Alternate Dispute Resolution Project started in June 2014 and is a component of the Aitebaar Programme funded by Coffey International. The main aim of ADR is to improve access to Informal Justice by focusing on strengthening local and accessible informal justice mechanisms, and developing linkages between the formal and informal justice forums. The ADR team has helped to identify and train Local Community Mediators from the Catchment Areas of Gulbahar, Faqirabad and University Town. In total, 206 Local Community Mediators were identified from the catchment areas. Of these, 125 mediators (104 male, 21 female) have been trained in collaboration with Aitebaar.
